The Garmin-Asus alliance allows the two companies to combine their complementary resources.

Garmin is the global leader in satellite navigation and has sold more than 50 million devices.

ASUS is a technology leader in the IT industry and offers everything from PC components to complete solutions including notebooks, desktops, smartphones, PDAs, broadband communications products, LCD monitors and wireless applications.

The Garmin-Asus nüvifone G60 is the first product of the company.


G60 provide the same great features and user experience that have made Garmin the global leader in satellite navigation. Each nüvifone G60 comes standard with voice prompted turn-by-turn directions that speaks street names, onboard maps and millions of points of interest (POIs). And to make sure you have all the tools you need for life on the go, the nüvifone G60 integrates a quad-band GSM phone with 3.5G data connectivity, a Webkit-based Internet browser, personal messaging, Wi-Fi, stereo Bluetooth and Garmin's proven personal navigation functionality.

On the other hand, it provides geo-tagged SMS, email and photo sharing. It has a large screen with portrait and landscape view of each screen and virtual QWERTY keyboard on touchscreen.

A useful function- "Where am I?" safety feature displays your current address and nearest police, hospital and fuel services in one click.

G60 also supports pedestrian mode for in-hand navigation.

Garmin - Asus nüvifone G60 would be a useful device for me because i like to travel in many places that I never went before, and usually by car, I won't get lost anymore if I'm holding it...but..I asked for the price in a retail shop yesterday, it costs RM1,800...it's too expensive for me now, so i should postpone my "G60-plan" first...i will buy only when the price drop below RM1,300..
hope the company drop the price soon~~

buy one more for me la~ hehe~

the second product that the company produce is nüvifone M20, is nice also, its OS is Microsoft Windows® Mobile Professional 6.1, more functions~
but i prefer simple one~
